In anticipation of the eBook giveaway starting Thursday, and going through Monday, I have decided to share some photos from my research trip in 2017.
I based Angelee’s home on The Branch House. For me it was a fabulous serendipity when I realised that one of my best friends owned the house. So, I am creating a little tour for you.
Standing on the curb, on Washington Street. Lovely, isn’t it?Facing right (East) on the front porch. The swing that was very much used.On the front porch, facing left (west). Inside the front door. Please come in and take your coat off. The sitting room, to the right of the front door, while facing the stairs. Cozy…In the sitting room, facing the fire place. The dining room, next to the sitting room. A room of fellowship, food and fun. Looking from the dining room into the kitchen. I’d love to know how to cook and bake on that antique appliance! A warm seat next to the oven
Beyond the kitchen to another room, which would be Daddy’s office in my book. The other side of the room, which would have been Daddy’s office. Love all the windows and natural light.Through a door to the left of “Daddy’s Office” is the salon/parlour. This is a huge room.
The south end of the room. Love the piano. Aunt Milly’s Room, which is upstairs.
While I do have photos of the other rooms, none of rooms resembled the way they would have looked in the book.
